    Default ~The Art Critic~

It's me again, Nova. I posted here previously about an old work in Progress which I finished. It was of an OC mine named Reves, a Vamdemon.

Well, I'm back once again, and to avoid double posting in the old thread, I made a new one since this is for a fresh peice of new art I am currently working on.

You can find the image in the following link to my DeviantArt account.

    The Protector -WIP-

As you can see, it is an image of VenomVamdemon(VenomMyotismon for those who go by the English dub names). It is still the same 'Digimon' from the previous image I showed here on the forums, just in his Mega state. I best warn you.. Up until now I haven't physically drawn Digimon. And I also like to add my own aesthetic design choices to set my own style apart from the base mold of the Digimon designs by Toei Animation.

I would love some basic critique on the over all image thus far. Pay in dear mind, it is NOT by any stretch complete. There's even a bit of a story to go along with the image.

I'd love to hear your opinions, feedback and I wouldn't mind a Llama or two. (Get a Llama give a llama. <3)

If you would also like me to look at some or your art and give you some feedback in return, then feel free to post below!

    Much love to you all!

I utilize the pen tool in a program called Sai. It's similar to the one in Photoshop but since I don't have Photoshop, this is the next best thing. I also use colored lines based on the main color scale of the image itself. Meaning if it uses a lot of red, I'll try to compliment it with a similar shade. I'm still experimenting in general with it, and thinking of using complimenting colors next time around, such as orange lines with a primarily blue image. We'll see.

Ah, originally I had erased that part, but I couldn't get the same effect. Since you don't see his eyes, it's hard to tell just what his expression is, so I kept part of the mouth lines shown. But I understand your point.

It's a shame really, especially in such a large forum community. Art tends to be a fun way to get to know people or really show appreciation for the fandom itself. But.. to each their own I guess. But hey, can't blame me for tryin' right? :3
