Ok, I've previously started this story elsewhere(people may or may not know where), but I've decided to shift this story here, and alter the plot. This is one of my favourite stories to write and I love the characters I have made in this story. I don't plan on having signups just yet, but I might, should I need characters. I would really appreciate ANYTHING anybody has to say, as I really love hearing readers' thoughts.

Quick Backstory since this was an expansion on another story, which I'm not posting here. Michael and Kyle are brothers, both fairly well built, but both involved in bullying. Michael, one of the main characters(the POV most commonly used), was constantly bullied by Carter, a bully at the time. Kyle straightened Carter up(as Kyle previously bullied Carter a few years back), and Carter eventually ended up retiring from bullying, only to be attacked by those who he'd previously bullied. Michael saves him from him and they learn in a hospital, that Carter is really Michael's brother as well and that Carter has the power to control minds, and Michael can reverse time. So finally, here's The Past is Behind Us:

Have you ever wanted to change something you did in the past? Undo the knots in what you wanted to be a perfect event so that you can have an amazing life. But the knot is a mistake; it's uncontrollable, unexpected, so hard to control that you didn't realize it was a mistake until the result takes place. Unfortunately, the past is the past. We cannot hold the past against each other for this reason. We can only put on our best smiles and assure the person that they have been forgiven.

Carter, has made some big mistakes in his life and nobody could forgive him for the severity of his actions. I'm not talking about the time he dyed his hair green when everyone wanted him to dye his hair red, or the time that he bumped into me, making me fall down the stairs. I'm talking about the lives he's changed. If it wasn't for him, maybe Greg would be here right now. Maybe he wouldn't have bullied Greg so far that he would take his own life. But that's the past; and at the end of the day, you have to fake forgiveness and make them feel like nothing is wrong. I don't believe in false forgiveness. Things happen for a reason. And if people are unhappy about the past, I will help them. I am not afraid to give someone a do-over if they're deserving. It's not Carter's fault that my other brother, Kyle, bullied him when he was young. It's not my fault that Carter resorted to bullying of his own because his self-esteem was so low. All these events have to be someone's fault, but does that mean that they wanted those things to happen and that fate had planned them to do that? I'm sure, after the summer we've just had and the new information revealed, that Kyle would not have traumatized Carter and Carter would not have pushed Greg too far. Who knows, we might have all been friends.

I stared at my brothers from across the table. Carter, with his blizzard-blue hair, was chowing down on a bowl of Fruit Loops, while my other brother, Kyle, was flipping pancakes. The aroma swirled through the air and tried to coax me into asking my brother for some.

"He never makes us anything for breakfast." Startled, I fell off my chair. Did Carter really have to do that so early in the morning? Ever since he ended up in the hospital, and we were told we had our powers, he'd used his once every day at least. He'd have to stop using his freaky mind control powers, it was giving me a headache.

"Stop reading my thoughts!" I thought to him. He nodded from across the table as I got up and sat on my chair again. Kyle leaned into the fridge and pulled out a half-filled bottle of maple syrup.

"What happened? Did Michael fall off his chair again?" Carter laughed. "He's such a klutz."

"Oh, shut up Kyle, you have your flaws too." I retorted.

"Yeah, like Icy over there. He eats Fruit Loops for every freaking meal. If he didn't work out, he'd be as fat as a cow about to go to the slaughterhouse. And who dyes their hair blue anyway?"

"Please," Carter ran his fingertips through his spiked hair. "You know you love me." A cocky grin spread across his face.

"I love you like the toe jam between a troll's toes." Kyle punched Carter playfully in the arm. "Don't you guys have school to get to or something?"

Crap! I looked at the clock, it said 8:15. "Carter, we have to go NOW! There's 15 minutes left!" Carter choked on a purple cereal bit and cursed.

"You guys need a ride? I don't start university until two weeks from now, so I can drive you guys for awhile." I nodded, grabbed Carter's hand and practically threw him into Kyle's car.

We arrived at school with 4 minutes to spare. Carter and I both dashed out the car doors and bolted towards the school. I jumped over textbooks and kids smoking odd substances and even a janitor's mop. We both reached History at the same time. Carter and I both had the same classes, oddly enough. History, English, Gym and Drama. History was my least favourite class. Our teacher would constantly talk and if she heard even one sound, she'd shriek: "Who's mumbling?" in a voice similar to a witch's. We opened the door to find the class empty. A note was drawn on the whiteboard.

"Dear Class,

I've been called to a meeting with some of the other teachers today, so I'm afraid that History class is cancelled today. I'm sorry if this disappoints anyone, but it was such short notice. There will be no homework due for tomorrow, but you need to remember American presidents as we are having a test on them when I get back."

Carter high fived me. "Awesome, no History! Let's go to the cafeteria, maybe one of our friends are there." It sounded like a good idea.

When we reached the caf, we sat at our regular table and chatted about our classes.

"So wanna be partners for that Drama presentation?" I shrugged, Carter was amazingly talented in acting. Everyone wanted to be his partner and everyone who was his partner often got perfect marks and sometimes even the conspiratorial 101%. It was a privilege to be his partner, and despite being brothers, we were never partners for Drama presentations.

"Um... sure... But I-" Carter held up a finger and turned to look at two girls walking towards us. My heart skipped a beat; I couldn't move. I stared at the girl with flowing red curls. My girlfriend, Melanie. I sighed softly. I ran her name through my mind over and over again. I didn't care if Carter was eavesdropping in my mind. I don't know how I was so lucky to be with someone like her. She smiled as she saw us and tapped the brunette next to her. Jessica, Carter's new girlfriend as of the summer that just passed. Jessica had professed her love for Carter and he took it really well.

"We didn't have Phys. Ed today. Mrs. Harris was gone on a teacher's meeting. Is Ms. Cambridge away as well?" I nodded. "Well I guess that means we can be together for a whole period." Jessica nuzzled up to Carter and smiled. Melanie on the other hand, sat across the table from me and held my hand. I melted when our hands touched. I suddenly wished that the period would never end.
