Lepper's English Patch (01/12/10) : How to Download and Apply Properly

I decided to make this guide as a definitive source for correct download and application of the English patch of DMO, made by Lepper. I am aware that he has instructions for it on his thread, but this one has pictures and I believe it is more in depth, so as to appeal to our less-than computer savvy folks.

Before we start, find the "Data" folder in your Digimon Masters Online folder and make a complete copy of it. This is because the patch does not have all necessary data on it to make the game run properly so you need to have the old folder there as well.

STEP 1: DOWNLOADING THE PATCH

First, and obviously so, you need to download the patch. A link to it follows:

This screen should appear more or less the same as mine (variations occur due to different web browsers / operating systems).

Now, at this point in time the place you download the patch to does not matter, so just press Save. However, make sure you take note of where it was saved to in case you need to retry the processes if you screw up later on.

STEP 2: EXTRACTION

So now the patch is on your computer, downloaded and sitting snuggly in a deep, dark folder in one of your hard drives. It's time to invite it into the world and get it's hustle on.

So you open up the newly downloaded file and you see this jumble of confusion (this is providing you use WinRAR, you may be using a different extraction program OR you don't have one at all. So what you want to do is click on the folder named "Interface" and then click the "Extract To" button above it, next to the "Add" button and the "Test" button. Once you click on it this screen should appear:



Find the folder/hard drive/whatever that your game data for DMO is in and extract the newly downloaded "Interface" folder into one of the copies of the original "Data" folder:



If by now you haven't done what I asked in the beginning and copied the "Data" folder, do so now before extracting the "Interface" folder into it. Once you start the extraction a screen should pop up asking if you want to replace some files. Click "Yes To All".

And that's all she wrote. Once you have completed both steps exactly as I have explained you should have the English patch up and running, ready to go. If there's anything I have seemed to forget or I have a typo/spelling/grammatical error please PM me and let me know. I tried to do the best I could in 15 minutes and it may not be 100% perfect.

Im sorry, I dont mean to be Rude or anything but isnt this outdated, since the text on the image isnt used anymore but bin files wich can only be translated with DMOT, applying this patch will get the english words under the korean words getting them mixed up? Well thats what happens to me and im pretty sure it happens to evry1 else so i dont see the point of this...

you do realize that this is a vvvery old thread and the patch is outdated right?
